The planning meeting is the key stage
in the whole removal procedure.
We discuss vital areas like access to both new and old buildings,
parking facilities, whether lifts are available and if any specialist
equipment is required. We also discuss start and finish times,
meal-breaks for our on-site personnel and explain exactly what
will be required from your own staff.
We will then take you through our packing and labeling system and
assist you in preparing detailed floor plans of your new premises.
Our aim is to be sure that, everybody involved - your side and
ours - knows exactly what is happening and what is expected of
them. On the big day, an experienced supervisor will be on hand
to oversee the entire operation. Normally, only two of your own
staff will be needed, one at the old building and one at the new
location, with a working telephone at each location.
We have found over years of commercial moves that
this is the best way to ensure things run perfectly and are a success.
We can supply a team of removal experts
whether you are moving equipment or staff from one floor to another,
or to another building nearby.
The job may not need a vehicle, and we will cost
the removal, quote and plan in exactly the same way as an "external" move
to ensure your move goes smoothly.
PORTERAGE HIRE
You can hire our fully trained staff by the day, for external or
internal moves working under the direction of your own supervisors.
Our staff are accredited by The Movers’ Institute (TMI), run
by the British Association of Removers (BAR).
Library relocations - from small private
collections of rare antiquarian volumes through to large commercial
libraries and national public institutions - often housing millions
of individual titles.
Our indexing and cataloging system ensures that books
are quickly and accurately re-shelved at the new location, thus causing
minimum disruption to the library's routine.
Packing and unpacking in strict rotational order
- Dismantling and assembling of racking
- Specialist wrapping and packing of individual items
Trained Joiners and Fitters
A professionally trained team can dismantle and/or
assemble your modern desking and screening systems. We can also re-configure
or dispose or systems furniture too.
Antiques and Fragile Items
We are acknowledged experts in the care and treatment
of valuable antiques. Our own skilled casemaking and crafting departments
will ensure that maximum protection is provided for fragile, valuable
and/or awkwardly shaped artifacts. |
